The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the support of the CICA Secretariat, held an online experts meeting. The event, held on 17 November 2023, was dedicated to discussing the draft Memorandum on a Partnership Network of Leading Universities of the CICA Member States.
This initiative, proposed by the President of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev at the Sixth CICA Summit in October 2022, received the support and attention of the CICA Member States. In her opening remarks, CICA Deputy Secretary General Ms. Zhang Ling noted the importance of cooperation in the field of education and science, emphasizing that the CICA Partnership Network of Leading Universities will serve as the foundation for the exchange of best practices, academic mobility of faculty members and students, as well as for joint research and other activities aimed at the development and prosperity of the region.
During the online consultation, representatives of Member States discussed the draft Memorandum in detail, highlighting the key points of cooperation and interaction, and discussed further steps for the successful implementation of this important initiative. The participants expressed their unity in their desire to promote educational and scientific development in the region, as well as to ensure a sustainable future through the exchange of knowledge and experience.
