CICA Secretary General Ambassador Kairat Sarybay participated in a meeting with Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Koshanov on 10 November 2023.
During the meeting, Ambassador Kairat Sarybay shared details about the progress of the CICA transformation process into a full-fledged international organization, and also spoke about current initiatives and projects being implemented within the framework of CICA activities.
Issues of parliamentary interaction were a key area of discussion, and the Secretary General also noted the establishment of relations with the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries (TURKPA), which has been an observer organization in CICA from 2012.
Ambassador Kairat Sarybay also expressed gratitude to the Republic of Kazakhstan for its significant contribution to the CICA process and emphasized the importance of support from the Kazakh parliament.
In turn, Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Koshanov expressed full support for the process of transforming CICA into an international organization. He emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in this context and expressed his readiness to promote the further development of the partnership between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the CICA.
