
Bangkok, 20-24 April 2026 – Ambassador Raushan Yesbulatova, Expert in the Economic Dimension of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), participated in the 82nd session of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
Guided by the theme “Leaving no one behind: advancing a society for all ages in Asia and the Pacific”, the session provided a critical platform to address emerging demographic trends and socioeconomic priorities. Key discussions centered on securing decent and productive employment across all age groups, promoting healthy and active ageing, advancing women's economic empowerment, and ensuring overall social integration.

Deliberations under Agenda Item 2, “Opportunities and Solutions for a Sustainable Future”, underscored the urgency of strengthening regional cooperation to drive inclusive growth and tackle shared challenges across the Asia-Pacific.
Addressing participants at the United Nations Conference Centre, Ambassador Yesbulatova emphasized that today’s multifaceted challenges demand collective action. She highlighted the vital role of dialogue between regional and subregional organizations, noting that synergized cooperation through platforms like ESCAP and CICA can transform regional challenges into tangible opportunities.
