Hand-carved wooden gazebo in the Uzbek National style
This unique hand-carved wooden gazebo was presented to the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia by His Excellency President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev as a token of his country’s deep commitment to peace, good neighbourliness and regional cooperation.
Crafted in an authentic Uzbek national style, it is adorned with exquisite ornamental motifs from the centuries-old Samarkand school.
This gazebo, created by the skilled artisans of Samarkand under the guidance of craftsman M. Assadov, embodies the rich traditions of Uzbek architecture, as well as its decorative and applied arts.
Carved with delicate patterns, eight slender walnut wood columns symbolize spirituality and harmony. The domed roof is covered with copper, giving the structure a refined sheen, while the base (floor) is lined with natural granite.

The gazebo is 6.5 metres high and 5 metres wide.
