CICA Essay Competition 2025 — Winners Announced

 

The Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) is pleased to announce the winners of the CICA Essay Competition 2025, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

This year’s competition brought together talented youngsters with splendid writing skills and ideas from across the CICA region, with over 370 essays submitted by participants from CICA Member States. Held under the theme “Youth as Catalysts for Peace, Cooperation, and Sustainable Development in the CICA Region,” the competition highlighted the vision and creativity of the next generation in promoting shared values of dialogue and partnership in Asia.

Winners:

1. Behrooz Kiany — Islamic Republic of Iran
2. Shakhruz Tolibov — Republic of Uzbekistan
3. Mutee ur Rehman — Islamic Republic of Pakistan

CICA expresses its sincere appreciation to all participants for their insightful contributions and extends special gratitude to the members of the international jury from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, and Türkiye for their valuable engagement in this meaningful initiative.

As part of their award, the winners will receive a fully funded four-day visit to Baku, Azerbaijan, to participate in the official awarding ceremony on 12 November in the frame of the CICA Youth Council and enjoy a cultural program.
