Objectives: The lecture series “CICA Talks: History and Heritage of Asia”, launched to mark the 20th Anniversary of the CICA Secretariat, continues with its second event – a lecture entitled “The Ancient Turkic Empire: Sacralization of the Image of the Khagan (Based on Materials from the Excavations of the Eleke Sazy Complex, Tarbagatay District)”. The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Zaynolla Samashev, Doctor of Historical Sciences and a leading Kazakhstani archaeologist.
Drawing on his research in East Kazakhstan, Dr. Samashev will explore the sacral power structures of early nomads. Using unique finds from the Eleke Sazy complex, the lecture will demonstrate how the Turkic Khagan’s divine status legitimized authority, secured territorial integrity and laid a solid foundation for regional peace.
