The Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) held its Special Working Group (SWG) meeting in a hybrid format on 9-10 October 2024 under the Chairmanship of Kazakhstan with the assistance of the CICA Secretariat.
The meeting was devoted to discussing draft outcome documents for the upcoming Seventh CICA Ministerial Council Meeting to be held on 19 December 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Participants engaged in active discussions, both online and in person, successfully moving towards consensus-based solutions on decisions to be taken by the CICA Ministerial Council. This active engagement yet again demonstrated relevance of CICA for all its Member States and their dedication to further strengthening the global role of Asia and to institutional development of CICA as unique pan-Asian organization.
